Bulgaria’s beach resorts are full in the middle of the summer season

Hotels in major summer resorts are fully occupied in the middle of July, reported the chairman of Bulgarian Tourist Chamber Tzvetan Tonchev. Lower occupancy that was registered in the beginning of June has been overcome.

Currently, the most visited resorts are Sunny Beach, Golden Sands and Albena where the average occupancy of the hotels is nearly 80% and over 90% in some hotels.

Tonchev explained that as far as it can be concluded in the middle of the season, the total number of tourists since the beginning of summer is close to last year’s figures.
Overall prices of overnights and holiday packages have dropped by an average of 10-15% compared to the last year. Foreign tourists prefer holiday packages for about 10 days.
Tour operators and hoteliers strive to compensate the falling prices of the packages and they tend to offer additional services or attractions such as excursions, cultural and historical tourism, spa procedures.
