Cultural tourism is Bulgaria’s top priority

It has been officially announced that Bulgaria should prove itself as destination suitable for cultural tourism due to its opulence of cultural and historic sites. Having about 50 top cultural sites, Bulgaria can be pinned on the world cultural tourism map. The goal of Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism is to develop Bulgaria as cultural tourism venue. For this purpose, the infrastructure and visual communications of Bulgaria’s top 50 tourist sites will be developed.
Moreover, a conception for New Tourism Law will be created in June 2010. It is interesting to point out that strict quality standards will be introduced for particular kinds of tourism.
Bulgaria will be the host of the World Congress of Tour Operators in 2010.
