Lake Atanasovo reserve celebrated its anniversary

Many ecologists and activists from Burgas have celebrated 30th anniversary of Lake Atanasovo reserve.

Many people gather together in order to participate in the important celebration. Organizers have installed information signs at Atanassovo Lake and the benefits from birds, local people and healthy way of life.

The wooden part of the sign was created and installed by participants in the local eco preservation organization. Many information signs have been installed nearby, however, it is the first time when many photos and text information boards describe comprehensively the wealth of the city and surrounding areas.
A special guest at the event was John Roberts who also celebrated the anniversary of the reserve. John Roberts was one of the first ornithologists who has researched the area of Lake Atanasovo.

Bulgarian Foundation Biodiversity has organized a celebration to mark the anniversary of the reserve. Every guest will have the chance to choose between catchy fortunes and get acquainted with the history of the lake.
Many enthusiasts have covered their body with the mud which is believed to possess healing and rejuvenating properties.
Organizers of the event announced the start of the Photo competition ‘Lake Atanasovo-people, birds and salt’.
