Plump and Plump Rakia Festival in Troyan

The traditional Plump and Plump Rakia festival will take place on 19th of September 2009 in Troyan and the village of Oreshak.
The program of the interesting event will be opened officially with the National exhibition of the Art at 10 o’clock in the village of Oreshak. The traditions practices for producing plump rakia /Bulgaria’s national spirit drink/ will be also represented for the curious visitors. The program of the event also includes a festival and a concert program.

Program

• 10:00 AM – Official opening of the holiday in the National exhibition of Crafts and Arts in the Oreshak village.
  
• Demonstration of traditional production of plump rakia.
  
• Competition for the best and qualitative homemade plump rakia.
  
• Plump rakia bazaar-there you can buy a bottle of the famous Bulgarian plump rakia.
  
• Theme festival
  
• Concert program with the special presentation of local bands;
  

• 6.00 PM – Festive defile from the bridge near Elma;
  
• The local community centres;
  
• The community of the Troyan Jokers and Cards;
  
• Students from the National Art high school;
