Suitable conditions for tourism in the mountains, said for Darik Radio Hristo Velkov who is on duty at the main office of the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross. In the morning there have been blowing winds at the summits, but the wind has not been strong at other mountainous parts. There are no serious incidents.

‘’Colleagues who are higher in the mountain, at least for Vitosha report that the wind is moderate. Moreover, the lift Romanski has been put into operation which means that now the wind is not so strong. Stara Planina mountain has seen fogs higher at the summits. The weather is pretty suitable for an excursion. Everywhere at the summits hurricanes were expected, but in the lower parts there is no strong wind.

• What are the conditions for tourism?
  Good conditions. People should bear in mind that at some places the snow is very compact, even icy. There is a danger of slipping and that’s why it is important to careful whilst exploring the mountains.
  
• Are there any ski conditions in some of the winter resorts?
  Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets are suitable for skiing. Some tracks are also opened at Chepelare. There is some snow. There are skiable tracks, but some lifts were also closed temporarily.
